Instrumentation: standard Wind band.

This is an original composition, written when I was Head of Music in Newcastle. This arrangement reflects the line-up of the band I developed during my final teaching post and has subsequently been further revised to better match the instrumentation of other Wind Band pieces which are available.

There are two main sections: the first is based around a fanfare-like idea heard from the outset. The second is a more sustained melodic line, first heard about a third of the way through.
