Description

This lively traditional Morris dance is arranged here for my usual flexible line-up of instruments, designated as Flute 1, Flute 2 / Descant Recorder, Clarinet in Bb, Violin, Accordion / Piano / Guitar and Bass. The melody line is always in the Accordion part but other instruments can play this line while the piano or guitar provides the rhythmic backing. There are various additional parts to give an interesting and varied texture throughout the three adaptations of this tune.

As ever, remember that this is for dancing but, also, please notice the indicated tempo marking. It is another example of music suitable for general ensemble work and at KS3, KS4 and for GCSE Ensemble performance.
