Description

This latest in my series of variable arrangements features three recently rediscovered tunes I composed in 1984. I have now arranged them from Flutes 1 & 2, Clarinet in Bb or C, Violin, Accordion / Piano / Guitar and Bass, though this line-up can be adapted to suit the resources available. The MM c.90 can be changed slightly, if necessary, but these are primarily Reels composed to be danced to and, as such, should have a rhythmic “lift”. The three melodies are in G major, G minor and G major respectively.

The music is suitable for Folk / Ceilidh groups, Concerts or for general ensemble practice. They can also form part of the Performing submission for GCSE Music, taking care to avoid direct doubling of lines.
