Description

This is another in my series of variable arrangements, though this time with the addition of a vocal line. It uses the traditional Gaelic melody Lochaber though with words written by Sir Hugh Thompson (1874  – 1952). There is also a purely instrumental version on this website, using the title Lochaber.

This arrangement is for Flute 1, Flute 2 / Descant Recorder, Clarinet in C / Bb, Violin, Accordion / Piano / Guitar, Bass and Voice., though the instrumental parts can be varied to suit the resources available.

It is appropriate as a Concert item, for Ensemble work or as part of a GCSE Performing submission, though ensuring that any rules regarding doubling of parts is strictly adhered to. Please note that all parts are realised via Sibeliius.
