Description

The is an arrangement of the beautiful Irish Traditional melody, The Wind in the Willows, arranged for String Quartet. It was done in response to a request for a straightforward arrangement. Consequently, the melody remains in Violin 1 while Violins 2 and 3 add fairly simple harmony lines. The ‘Cello plays a mostly recurring bass line, thus producing a relatively simple ensemble piece.

It would be a useful arrangement of Ensemble work, for inclusion in a Concert or for performance at GCSE, though taking account of its relatively straightforward nature.
