Description

Instrumentation: Violins 1, 2 & 3

A simple arrangement of this beautiful melody, also featured within the folk band music.

It is written for three players (or groups of players) of similar standards and, therefore, the melodic lines and countermelodies are passed around fairly equally.

The piece is to be played in a cantabile style where marked arco but the whole thing should retain a sense of lightness.

Because of the level of control of tone and dynamic required, it could also be used as a GCSE Ensemble submission.
