Description

This is a gentle melody in Waltz style which I composed in the early 1980s specifically for a newly-created dance called “Skaters’ Waltz”.  In this

arrangement, Violin 1 holds the melody line while Violins 2 and 3 provide a gentle accompaniment.  The only potentially tricky note in the arrangement is G#.

The indicated tempo reflects the relaxed nature of the music and there is, of course, scope for a gentle rallentando during the last few bars.
